There is a registration fee of $35 per student and $5 for each additional student. All students must have a registration form completed and signed by a parent or guardian before the first day of class. Registration fee must be returned with registration form.

Tuition is payable by the 1st of each month. Tuition will remain the same whether it is a (5 week) or short (3 week) month and regardless of student absences.  If tuition has not been paid by this date a $25 late fee will be assessed for fees not paid by the 10th of each month. If after two months fees are not paid, the students account will be terminated. There is no billing statement mailed; only late reminder statements will be sent when account is past due. We will reserve the right to withhold a costume or participation in our recital until your account is brought current.  There is no refund on registration, monthly tuition, or costume deposits (once costumes and/or materials have been purchased/ordered) if you choose not to complete the year.

FAMILY DISCOUNTS: Dancer’s Edge offers family discounts for members of the same family. The first student pays full price. Sibling discount is $10.00. Friend referral-refer three friends receive half price on one month of dance. Refer five friends receive a free month of dance! This offer is good until September  **Note they must sign up in order for this to apply and must mention the person that referred them.

Solo’s and Duo-Trio’s are 30 minute sessions- $150 flat fee a solo. Must pay at least half to start solo. After solo is complete, the fee is $20 per lesson. Must be paid at the time of the solo. Duo-trio is $100 dollars per person.  After Duo is complete, it is $10 per person. Must pay half to start duo. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FOR ALL SOLOS AND DUO’S IF YOU CANCEL YOU MUST NOTIFY THE TEACHER IN ADVANCE THAT YOU WILL MISS YOUR SOLO OR DUO, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT SESSION.


RETURNED CHECKS:  There will be a $25.00 returned check fee for all returned checks. Cash only accepted at this point for payment.

INSURANCE:  Dancer’s Edge does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs it is understood that the students own policy is your only source or reimbursement.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: The studio will not necessarily close for inclement weather, regardless if area schools are closed, since many times roads are safe and clear by 3:00 pm. If in doubt, call the studio for a recording; check your email, or our Facebook page about class information. Make up classes will be announced. Please check the board for that information.

HOLIDAYS:  We will observe only the major holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Class will be in session the rest of the time.

LOBBY: We ask all parents to remain in the front lobby during your dancer’s class time. Parents if you need to drop something off to students, please quietly leave it by the door.  Please be ready to pick students up after their class is finished. It is not be the responsibility of another parent to watch your child. So please be on time to pick up your dancer.

BATHROOM: Please!!! Remind your dancer to use the restroom before class. It is a huge distraction for the entire class when dancers are leaving during instruction.

DANCER REGISTRATION: Please note that we do not allow dancers to dance in a class level above their age. Any dancer is welcome to dance down a level if they choose. If your child’s teacher feels that they are behind the level of the class your dancer may be asked to transfer to another class for their age. The comp classes are held at a higher level and we want to make sure that all dancers are progressing at a comfortable rate. Please be sure you discuss this with your dancer before you register for the class.


RECREATIONAL CLASSES: These classes are for those that do not wish to participate in competition and just want to dance for fun without the obligation to compete. These classes will meet once a week for 1 to 1 ½ hours.

COMPETITION CLASSES (Edge Company): These classes are for those dancers that are serious about dancing on the competitive level. Dancers are only admitted through permission/ audition only!!!  All comp classes will attend at least 2 to 3 regional competitions in the spring and Nationals in the summer. These competitions are required for all dancers that have registered for the comp classes. These fees will be charged to your account if you choose to participate in the comp class. This class requires two to three days a week. And you may not have more than 4 absences a dance year.  If you have to miss, you must notify the teacher in advance. These classes meet more than once a week and class times are 3+ hours.  A competition meeting will be held before classes start. We also have competition evaluation meetings with parent, so they can understand what is happening with their dancer in class. Competition members are subject to be cut from the team if attendance or grades are poor or if the dancer is not able to keep up with the class. You MUST attend required classes including ballet. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

ATTENDANCE: Good attendance is key to both individual and class progress. Please notify the studio in advance if you must miss class. Students will not be allowed into class if they miss more than 4 days of dance unless it is cleared for them to participate.

CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE:  Students should arrive at the school with sufficient time to change into dance shoes to begin class on time. Students who arrive 10 minutes after the scheduled class time are welcome to observe the class; however, they will not be permitted to participate unless there is an extenuating circumstance. If students need to leave before the end of the class, they should notify the teacher before class begins. Students may not leave the classroom without first receiving permission from the teacher. As employees of Dancer’s Edge, teachers have the responsibility to see that their class is under control, and they have the authority to dismiss any student who will not cooperate and is a disruption to the rest of the class. Inappropriate dress or behavior will not be allowed.

PROPER ATTIRE:  Female dancers are expected to wear dance wear to class to enable the instructors to see body lines for correct body placement. Dance wear is defined as: leotard/tights/crop top/booty shorts/jazz pants. Hair should be pulled back and secured!!! No gum or loose jewelry will be allowed. The required dance shoes MUST be worn. T-shirts and shorts are NOT acceptable!!!!

Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing and any other dance attire that is appropriate for dance class.

e-mail  or call 478-494-1816 and we will set up a meeting at your convenience. We kindly ask you not to grab the instructor in between classes, as they usually have another class to teach.

PICTURES: Pictures will be taken during a later scheduled time for dancers in mid to late April at the studio. Schedules will be sent out in early April.

COSTUMES AND RECITAL FEES: Costumes may vary in cost but costumes range from $70 and up depending on style and whether you request a custom design. A deposit is required to order your costumes. NO DEPOSIT-NO COSTUME! A Recital Fee of $30.00 per family in April. This helps cover the cost of the facility rental, lighting, props, stage crew, programs, trophies, etc. That goes into making a great performance.

Below is our deposit schedule. There is a late fee on all costume related fees per week.  More information about deposits will be sent out at a later time.

1st payment September 1st  -$70 deposit (Costume 1)

2nd payment October 1st -$70 deposit (Costume 2)

3rd payment November 1st -$70 deposit (Costume 3)

No costume will be ordered without deposit.  Costume cost may vary. ***Baby Class will only have two costume payments.



PERFORMANCES/RECITAL:  Our spring recital is our main performance for the dance year. Dancers participate in a fully costumed and lighted production showcasing the year’s accomplishments. The event is a very professionally staged production that the students look forward to with excitement and anticipation each year. Exact dates/location and procedures will be distributed at a later date. We will also occasionally participate in local events throughout the year.  You will receive a letter about all upcoming performances as they come up.

DANCE TROPHIES: Awards are given annually at your dancer’s final show. Other trophies will included the following: Most Improved Dancer, Entertainer of the Year, Miss Dancers Edge, Spirit Award, and various dance scholarships will be awarded to dancers when available.
